HARLAN G. YORK
With more than a decade of experience, Mr. York has an extensive background in all types of immigration cases with particular emphasis in criminal alien proceedings, having litigated hundreds of deportation and removal matters before the US Immigration Courts in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, California, Texas, Louisiana, and Puerto Rico. He has drafted scores of appeals, motions and briefs before the Board of Immigration Appeals, US District Courts and Courts of Appeals for the First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Circuits. Mr. York regularly represents parties at Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services offices, pursuant to relative petitions and applications for adjustment of status. He also prepares employment-based applications for nonimmigrant visas and permanent residence. Admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court as well as state and federal courts in New Jersey and Connecticut, Mr. York has served as Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, New Jersey Chapter. Mr. York is also a member of the New Jersey Immigration Policy Network. Mr. York has lectured for the Federal Bar Association, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and ILW.COM. As a well-known immigration lawyer, he is often interviewed by the media and has been featured on NBC, News 12 New Jersey and the major Spanish language stations. He also has been quoted in many newspapers, including the Newark Star Ledger.
