Lauren Anselowitz, Immigration Attorney. TORTURE? She said “not our clients.”

TORTURE? She said “not our clients.”

Lauren Anselowitz, Immigration Attorney.  Harlan York and Associates. Your #1 Immigration Firm.

Lauren won a couple of really big cases in the last few weeks.  Two cases under the U.N. Convention Against Torture (CAT):

It’s an incredibly tough standard:

You must show that it’s more likely than not that an immigrant will be tortured if deported.

Most years, there are about 30,000 people who go before US Immigration Judges to seek CAT relief.  Less than 500 win.

Do the math.  That is less than one percent.

Lauren Anselowitz won two CAT cases this summer.

We want to protect our clients.  AND we hate to lose.

Lauren said, “NOT OUR CLIENTS.”
