3 Problems With Your Immigration Case and How To Fix Them

It’s funny.

What the public calls “loopholes,” I call “practicing good law.”

And when you have an immigration problem, you need a loophole or good law, but you had better find a solution.

Or you might find yourself fighting to stay in the United States.

These are 3 Problems with Your Immigration Case and How to Fix Them:

  1. Citizenship: Often the easiest way to solve an immigration mess. Become a US citizen before you get into a battle with Immigration. They will try to take away your green card if you have even a blemish on your record from long ago.  Any scrapes with the police or stops by Customs and Border Protection at an airport can have wicked results. Do not be afraid to apply for US citizenship.  Be afraid of what happens when you only have a green card.  This is not a scare tactic.  I’ve seen thousands of folks with major difficulties that could have been avoided if they only had naturalized.  However, make sure that you have an expert (and I mean EXPERT) review your whole immigration history first.
  2. Court: If you do find yourself in Immigration Court, facing deportation, get a thorough evaluation of your case done by a lawyer who is (a) extremely experienced in Immigration Litigation and (b) keeps up with all of the latest developments.  Now is not the time to go for a “good deal” or find an attorney who is “conveniently located” to where you live.  Cost and travel are secondary to having your American life saved, don’t you think?
  3. Family cases: I see so many people with immigration problems due to having applied for a relative petition on their own, or with less than diligent representation.  Now they are literally crying on my desk.  My heart seriously breaks for them.  Families kept apart by administrative glitches.  It could all have been avoided by engaging the services of top immigration counsel.  The good news: we can often get involved and repair the breakdown.

There is No Substitute for Experience.

There is No Substitute for a Law Firm – with multiple attorneys – that handles Immigration Law and only Immigration Law.

There is No Substitute for the Best Immigration Lawyers who actually care about their clients.

Now back to that loophole…
